Asylum 2011
Wow! what a show Asylum 2011 in Eureka Spings was a blast! Thank you Scikos for having Scionpro as a sponsor and guest at this event. Everything was absolutely perfect! The hotel, the town, the weather , the show , the parade!! whooo hooo was all awesome. If you missed this one dont miss it next year. The GRAND PUBA, Rob Wintercorn, was the consumate show host. He, his family, and Scikotics team had everything prepped to perfection including a 1 am welcome committee! for me and Tim! lol. The hotel was perfect for the show since it had a convention center with lounge, rest rooms, air conditioning to cool off, refreshments, massive parking lot, and conference room for TROPHIES! AND RAFFLES. The town and hotel were also fantastic. The hotel is nesteld into the rolling hills and featured a great restaurant with killer breakfast...oooh and the fried Ozarks chicken was awesome too! They have an amazing pool with waterfall and pergola shaded areas, miniature golf, a jacuzzi and you could just walk to all the shops you would need. Everywhere you went in town the people were happy to see us, thanked us for the business, and commented on how pleasantly different the Scion owners were from other car clubs and motorcylcists that frequent that township. DARE 2B DIFFERENT! yeah baby! We rocked that town and they invited us back!
I am very thankful to have the support and friendship of everyone I came into contact with at the show. The cars this year were amazing....judging I know was tuff...that's why I didnt do it! lol so hard to pick . Every Scion model was represented from xA/xD to xB1 & xB2 as well as tC1 and tC2! Some people traveled tremendous distances to be there....Patrick C. from Atlanta , Alyssa E from Orlando, Tommie M aka Stitch from Cali , Chris A from Cali and one gentleman that traveled 2200 miles from Oregon! Arkansa Sciko chapter rolled in high and tight in formation with military precision Bada Bing Forgetaboudit! There were over 200 cars easy! Once the sun went down the parties began. It was the ultimate in tailgating as we had the whole lot to ourselves away from the hotel and could play that music! run those lights and show off in grand style. Sat night everyone lined up for the police escorted parade through town. I had the priveledge of riding with Rob Wintercorn in his flame thowing RS1 xB! We did not have the crwods we expoected but hey it was fun and everyone got to run thier lights! Back at the hotel after the parade the Glowoff was in full swing capping off another flawless day of fun.
Lastly the prizes! CONGRATUALTIONS TO CHARLES STARK OF MO WINNER OF THE AIRLIFT/SCIONPRO COMPLETE AIR RIDE KIT FOR HIS XB1 AND DUSTIN KRUGER WINNER OF MY VERY OWN DARE 2B DIFFERENT! COIL OVERS FOR HIS tC 1. Other prizes included a full Fujita intake system , Centerfuge programming from Chris Patterson/aka nighhawk, and stereo equipment from Steven North. A whole host of other goodies were given away by Scion Corp and Chris Rado!
